After breakfast, we depart Banff and take the Trans-Canada Highway towards world-renown Lake Louise region. Our first stop will be at Moraine Lake.
This particular lake is surrounded by high mountain ridges, is crystal clear and is in a very peaceful and tranquil sitting. The lake has been featured on the Canadian $20 bill and is truly a wonderful way to start our day.
Later we go to beautiful Lake Louise. This unusually blue, Glacier-fed lake is everyone's favorite. We will spend the remainder of the morning here at the lake and have lunch in the spectacular Chateau located nearby. In the afternoon we will visit Emerald Lake, another one of Canada's most beautiful lakes and then go to the Continental Divide.
We will return to Banff in late afternoon for individual shopping and sight seeing. Dinner is on your own. |

DAY FOUR: BOW LAKE, BREWSTER ICE FIELDS, BRITISH COLUMBIA |
We leave Banff and follow the Bow River northward towards the Brewster Ice Fields. Our first stop is at pristine Bow Lake, made famous by the movie stars who came here for rest and relaxation in years past. It still remains a beautiful and tranquil place to visit.
After our stop, we proceed to the Brewster Ice fields. A unique opportunity to journey onto an active glacier in some really different vehicles made especially for travel on and off the glacier. Lunch will be at the nearby Visitor's Center.
In the afternoon, we depart for the community of Golden, British Columbia. One the way, we get to enjoy the rivers and forests of British Columbia. Once we have checked into our motel, we will take a gondola to the top of Kicking Horse Mountain for dinner in the ski resort's best restaurant. A spectacular Canadian Rockies vista awaits us as one can see "forever" from this perspective. After dinner, we spend the evening in the ski resort.
